An exciting finish is in store at the Open de Espana, where a number of players are looking to claim the prestigious national open.
Joe Dean and Grant Forrest led going into the final round, but charges from numerous players, including home-hero Eugenio Chacarra, means it's anyone's for the taking at Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.

Open de Espana Leaderboard
Updates from...
DEAN JOINS THE LEADERS
Dean birdies the 15th and joins Olesen and Forrest at the top of the leaderboard.
The Englishman taps in from a foot for birdie and then finds the right-side of the fairway at the 16th to continue the momentum.
FORREST IN CONTROL
If I were to bet on who wins this, I would be going with Grant Forrest.
Birdieing the 13th and 14th, the Scot then plays a gorgeous second shot that ends up eight-feet from the flag at the 15th.
He would take the outright lead with a birdie, which is something that Dean is all-but guaranteed after a superb second shot. The Englishman has mere inches for birdie at the 15th to move to 13-under.
BOGEY FOR THE HOME-HERO
Chacarra finds the greenside bunker with his tee shot at the par 3 17th and, despite a classy bunker shot, he can't convert the par putt to remain at 13-under.
The Spaniard drops down into a share of third and one back of the leaders. He will need a birdie, or eagle, at the last to set a realistic clubhouse target.
WHO WILL WIN THIS?
Chacarra does well to two putt at the 16th to remain at 13-under, while Dean gets up-and-down at the par 5 14th to stay at 12-under.
At the same hole, Forrest has a great chance to join the leaders at 13-under, with the Scot doing just that, as he gets up-and-down from the bunker for birdie.
Finally, at the par 4 15th, Olesen hits a great birdie putt, but it just slides by, with the 27-year-old remaining 13-under.
POOR PUTT FROM OLESEN
He just made a big par save at the 13th and, following a good chip at the par 5 14th, Olesen has a great chance to take the outright lead.
Faced with eight-foot for birdie, his putt is weak and, missing on the low-side, the Dane squanders a decent opportunity to take the advantage.
Olesen remains 13-under and alongside Chacarra in a share at the top of the leaderboard.
CHACARRA BATTLING AWAY WITH A BROKEN TOE
2 days done 2 days to go! Let’s have a weekend 😃 https://t.co/ocjbA5otZqOctober 9, 2026
FORREST WITHIN ONE
The Scot has been battling away today and, at the 13th, Forrest finds a birdie to jump to 12-under.
He moves within one of Chacarra and Olesen. The former is playing the 16th, while the latter is greenside at the par 5 14th, leaving a great chance at birdie.
DAN BROWN SETS THE CLUBHOUSE TARGET
Dan Brown cards a seven-under-par final round 64, with a back nine 29 meaning the Englishman sets the clubhouse target at 11-under.
He narrowly missed out on victory last year, with Brown losing a playoff to Marco Penge. You feel that his score will be a few shots shy this year.
BACK NINE UPDATE
Eugenio Chacarra and Jacob Skov Olesen lead the Open de Espana with a handful of holes remaining, with the pair stuck at 13-under.
Joe Dean is in third at 12-under, while three players are at 11-under, two at 10-under and three at nine-under.
