New GM for Bushey to strengthen brand
Bushey Hall Golf Club, now celebrating its 100th Anniversary, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Glen Halsey who joins as its’ new General Manager
Halsey joins from Surrey s Addington Court Golf Centre where he was General Manager for two years.
Halsey s role at Bushey Hall is to drive sales and galvanise the club, laying the foundations for the next 100 years. Halsey commented, I am proud to be joining the club at this time. The golf industry is changing all of the time and I am looking forward to working with the team to ensure Bushey competes aggressively in the market. Its important that we continue to improve the golf experience at Bushey, ensuring the Club maintains standards and cements its leading reputation.
Although the golf industry has been hit by the credit crunch, we are lucky to have retained our level of success. We can t, however rest on our laurels my job, as I see it is to instil spirit, integrate the members and ensure people continue to enjoy playing golf at the Club .
Halsey s has been specifically taken on to introduce a range of initiatives to grow membership, drive green fees up and to maintain the ideas and principles that Bushey is known for.
Halsey is well positioned to do this having achieved considerable success for a range of golf, leisure and nightclubs in the past. At Addington certain areas of the business grow 59% YOY under his guidance and management. At Brighton s University Student Union, as GM he successfully re-launched the facility during Fresher s Week resulting in a 50% YOY Growth and a 36% growth in F&B in his first 3 months.

We have exciting plans for the Club and his past experience will be invaluable in leading the team as we go forward cementing the profile of the Club as Hertfordshire s Premier Golf Club .
Bushey Hall Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Hertfordshire. Situated just a short drive from the M25 and M1 motorways, the 18 hole, 6055 yard, par 69 is easily accessed and is a peaceful oasis for golfers to enjoy the seclusion and challenge of a great day s golf. The Club also offers a restaurant, two bars, lounge, and three private function rooms.
