Ping Anser hybrid launched
Ping has introduced the adaptable and forgiving Anser hybrid with matte-black finish
The new Ping Anser hybrid combines the matte-black finish first seen in the i20 woods, with a deeper head and added forgiveness. Internal and external weighting means that the centre of gravity positions vary depending on loft, to produce the desired trajectory and distance with each club.
The higher lofted hybrids have a more forward CG position to optimise launch conditions. In the lower lofted hybrids, the CG is slightly lower and back in the head to help produce a higher launch and optimal spin. The black finish is designed to reduce distracting glare, while the lowest portion of the face has been made wider to deliver a cleaner contact and improve forgiveness.
The Ping Anser hybrid (RRP £180) will be available in 17°, 20°, 23° and 27° lofts, with the Ping TFC 800H shaft in Soft R, R, S and X flexes.
