TaylorMade is promising unprecedented playability and explosive distance in its new AeroBurner irons, which go on sale this March.

Following on from its SpeedBlade irons, they are are designed to provide high ball speeds without sacrificing distance or feel.

TaylorMade AeroBurner irons utilise the maximum-permitted coefficient of restitution - effectively bounciness of the face - to deliver improved distance after contact.

In addition, the low centre of gravity position produces a high launch angle.

The high-MOI cavity-back head design allows weight to be moved to the perimeter for increased forgiveness, while optimised loft and CG placement help promote consistency.

"The TaylorMade AeroBurner irons break the mould of the typical distance iron," said Tomo Bystedt, TaylorMade's director of iron product creation.

"Never before has up-to-the-limit COR and distance been delivered in such an easy-to-play and confidence inspiring package.

"Distance has now come to all golfers."

The speed pocket, which first made its appearance in TaylorMade's RocketBladez irons, has been configured for higher launch and more ball speed on strikes that come low off the face.

In terms of aesthetics, a longer blade length, thicker top line and more offset are designed to inspire confidence at address, while a dark matte head finish helps combat glare.

The TaylorMade AeroBurner Pro golf ball also supplements the AeroBurner irons and AeroBurner Mini driver.

Much like the rest of the range, the three-piece AeroBurner ball has been engineered for speed and distance.

That said, TaylorMade's spin mantle and proprietary lothane cover provide spin control and soft feel.

The AeroBurner Pro ball is on sale now, with an RRP of 24.99 per dozen.
