The players' view: Old Course memories
Some of the world's best players reveal their favourite Old Course memories
We asked a selection of 2015 Open Championship participants about their favourite memory of the Old Course at St Andrews
The Old Course is the most inimitable venue on the Open rota, of that there's no question.
It's a layout that evokes memories of yesteryear and one that's played host to some of the most memorable Open Championships in history.
The Open first came to the Old Course at St Andrews in 1873, with Tom Kidd finishing one shot clear of Jamie Anderson to land the Claret Jug.
Since then, the Old Course winners list reads like a who's who of the golfing elite.
Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Bobby Locke, Peter Thompson, Sam Snead and Bobby Jones are among the players to have triumphed here.
Those victories not only provided great drama, but also inspired a number of today's elite golfers to pick up a club and start playing the sport.

Visions of Seve's dance after winning in 1984, or Tiger's dominant display in 2000 - where he didn't find a single bunker all week - live long in the memory, especially for some of the players in action on the Old Course at St Andrews this week.
Ahead of the 144th staging of golf's greatest championship, we caught up with some of the tournament favourites, along with a host of other competitors, to discuss their favourite memories of the Old Course, whether based on personal experiences or past tournament they weren't involved in.
In the above video, filmed at Callaway's traditional Monday night pre-Open party, staff players Henrik Stenson, Branden Grace, Thomas Bjorn, Matteo Mannasero and Danny Willett discuss their stand-out moments to have taken place on this most hallowed of turf.
"From past Opens it's got to be Seve's win here. It was a such a memorable win and those magic pictures of him on the last green were so special," said Bjorn.
"He's so missed in the game of golf - so that was one of my favourite Open moments."
