We all know how important it is to have a stable connection with the ground during each golf shot. It leads to confident swings and proper weight shift, which is always a prominent swing thought for me. The best women’s golf shoes can either make or break this feeling, which is why I was especially excited to test the new SQAIRZ Ultra Tour-Lite, which is designed with foot stabilizing technology to improve swing speed and connection with the ground.
Overall, I did feel an extra level of stability, especially on wood chips and off the tee. The design takes a multi-faceted approach to create that level of traction. The patented toe box has a unique square shape (hence the name) that’s very comfortable and roomy, and gave me a consistent feeling from heel to toe.
I have fairly narrow feet, but the fit felt appropriate, balanced throughout. Because of the widened toe box, there was no soreness on the side of my pinky toe, which I’ve experienced after a long round with other classic-style shoes. I played 27 holes and my feet were feeling as good on the last hole as they did on the first.
The soles pack a lot of punch with 6 replaceable soft spikes placed on the foot’s pressure points, plus 290 traction lugs of varying heights to improve all-around grip. I typically play in spikeless shoes, and this spiked sole was a big traction upgrade for me. It gave me the confidence to swing away, and also felt super grounding around the green.
I was impressed by how lightweight they were, despite the wider bottoms and classic- golf shoe design, which can sometimes have a clunky or heavy feel. Looks wise, I prefer a predominately white golf shoe, but I did appreciate the animal print detail in the back. SQAIRZ definitely promotes functionality first, but has recently added to its women’s options, including some fun brightly-colored bottoms. The line also comes in spiked and spikeless and in half sizes to ensure a good fit.
I played without the kilties, but they easily slip back onto the laces if you prefer that extra classic look. There’s even an option to swap out the laces for one of 17 colors. The laces are covered in tiny silicone raised squares that the company ensures won’t come untied during an entire round.
SQAIRZ easily ranks among the best women's waterproof golf shoes because I didn't have to think about my feet once, even while stepping in wet areas. My feet remained dry and comfortable. They felt effortless to swing in, and I can attest that I didn’t need to retie or adjust the laces. If you’re looking for a shoe upgrade, you won’t be disappointed with SQAIRZ.
