Woods is father of baby girl
Tiger is over the moon with birth of his fist child after his wife Elin gave birth to a baby girl early on Monday morning.
Tiger Woods has become a father after his wife Elin gave birth to a baby girl. Sam Alexis Woods was born on Monday morning and both mother and child are reported to be well.
Woods had announced he would miss the Open if the birth coincided with the championship but it is thought his schedule will still be changed.
In the short term Tiger could miss his next scheduled event which is the Buick Open on 28th June but may return to Carnoustie for the Open on the 19th July. In the long term Tiger is expected to play less events and his practice and gym régime will have to fit around family time.
Tiger wrote on his web site ?This is a truly special time in our lives and we look forward to introducing Sam to our family and friends.?
