England s Sue Dye was beaten in a sudden death play-off for the British seniors championship at Hilton Templepatrick in Northern Ireland.
Sue, the English seniors champion from Delamere Forest in Cheshire, was the leader after two rounds. But she returned an 80 in the third and final round and was caught by Germany s Chris Ultermarck.
The title was decided on the first extra hole where the German player took four and Sue scored five.
English senior strokeplay champion Janet Collingham (Sherwood Forest) was third while Jane Rees of Hendon, who finished fifth overall, won the 50-54 age group.
