The product features optimised lofts, low/back CG locations and slot technology in the soles. Smaller tip diameters in the Kalea SlimTech shafts also help to increase launch angle at impact.

The set includes different club types with different managing lofts, lengths and head shapes to assist with a smoother transition between them. With aesthetically pleasing colour accents, Kalea’s design blends product technology specifically for the launch of women golfers.

There are 13 clubs available in the Kalea set including, driver, 3, 5 and 7 fairway woods, 4 and 5 Rescues, 6 and 7 transition irons, 8 and 9 irons, pitching wedge, sand wedge and putter. TaylorMade has also announced the Kalea cart bag, golf balls, two-piece ball with soft cover and low compression is available separately.

TaylorMade says Kalea’s unique blend of features work in unison to maximise performance for slower swing speeds, generate more consistent yardage gaps throughout the set and produce noticeably higher ball flights.

“We’ve learned a great deal about product performance in the last decade, much of which was geared toward faster swing speeds,” said Tomo Bystedt, Senior Director of Product Creation. “For us, Kalea was a great opportunity to take our learnings on slower swing speeds and bring them to market with products that provide meaningful performance for female players, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”

Kalea irons are available in a 6-iron set for £549, driver will be £249 and putter at £109
