Wolstenholme earns 200th England cap
After two decades of playing for England, Gary Wolstenholme makes it a double century against Spain next month
Gary Wolstenholme is set to enter the record books with an historic 200th cap for England when he lines up against Spain next month.
The international match takes place at Royal Ashdown Forest from May 12-13 and the two-time Amateur champion admits it will be a proud moment.
?I owe so much to my team-mates over the years as well as my employers,? said the 46-year-old. ?I would never have achieved what I have without them and I'm never going to get around to thank them all?.
Playing on the amateur circuit for just over 20 years, Wolstenholme has played in the US Masters and the Open.
The Kilworth Springs member was given the ultimate recognition when he was awarded the MBE on the Queen?s New Year's Honours List.
As well as Wolstenholme, England have named Gary Boyd, David Horsey, Stephen Lewton, Jamie Moul, Ben Parker, John Parry, Paul Waring and new cap Seve Benson, who earned his selection after winning the Asia-Pacific Open Amateur.
The team contains four players ? including Moul at number one ? in the top 20 of the new World Amateur Ranking.

England will be confident going into the match, a fixture in which they held an unbeaten record until 2005.
