Vijay Singh stunned a high-class field at the TPC Boston to run away with the Deutsche Bank Championship, and put himself in a commanding position to scoop the $10 million bonus payable to the FedEx Cup Winner.
The big Fijian shot a near-faultless final round 63 to fend off his nearest challenger - Canadian and overnight leader, Mike Weir. However, it was the manner in which the 45-year-old nonchalantly holed his putts from all ranges that proved so decisive.
The highlight was a 60-foot birdie at the 14th, a putt that caused the normally so controlled Singh to raise his putter in delight. Afterwards he said: "I feel incredible. It was a tough day."

The rest of the field were unable to compete with such red-hot putting. Sergio Garcia, who lost a close tussle with Singh at The Barclays last week, reflected: "He played amazing. He was awesome."
In form Singh has now claimed back-to-back victories and three in his last five outings. His latest success puts him on 34 career wins, level with world No. 2 Phil Mickelson.
Without doubt, Singh is the world's in-form player and European Ryder Cup Captain, Nick Faldo, will be glad the Fijian will not be anywhere near Valhalla. For opposite number Paul Azinger, the worrying lack of US presence on the final day, will be a concern. Justin Leonard and Jim Furyk were the highest placed automatic Ryder Cup qualifiers - they tied for seventh spot with Cup hopeful Chad Campbell.
Meanwhile, South African Ernie Els shared third place with Colombian Camilo Villegas.
