Victory for Choi in Memorial Tournament

Despite a shaky finish, K J Choi made three great par saves to take the Memorial Tournament by one shot from Ryan Moore.

Heavy rain at Muirfield Village made it a difficult final day for those in contention at Jack Nicklaus? tournament.

Choi (pictured with Nicklaus) came flying out of the blocks in the final round, registering six birdies on the front nine for a faultless 30. This gave the South Korean the lead while Moore led the chasing pack. Choi looked comfortable until he found a bunker at 16 and was forced to make a superb up and down for par. At 17 he chipped out of the gallery and holed a 15ft putt for another impressive par, while at the last he produced another sand save for a round of 65 and the clubhouse lead.
