Course lowdown: This is a tough challenge for all but the lowest handicappers. Long, links-style wispy rough punishes wayward hitters and several impressive water hazards add to the enjoyment. The signature hole is the short par 4 12th, which is protected by a lake down the right and in front of the green. The sensible play is a longish iron followed by a pitch onto the putting surface. The course?s main protection is its length ? the layout measures almost 7,000 yards from the back tees.
