Course of the Week – Enniscrone

The Co Sligo course has some stunning views of the Moy Estuary, the Atlantic Ocean, the Nephin and Ox Mountains – and the holes are pretty good too!

Just north of Ballina in Co Sligo, Enniscrone is in a stunning location. With views of the Moy Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, the Nephin and Ox Mountains as a backdrop, the beautiful beach and impressive dunes, this is a great example of rugged links golf.

Course lowdown: There are so many good holes here it is hard to single out individual ones, but certainly the stretch from the 12th to the 16th is dramatic. The 12th, the hardest hole, is only 345 yards, but the fairway is incredibly undulating and the green cut into the side of a sand dune. Your approach must be accurate or you?ll fall off the putting surface into a deep hollow.
