Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Betting Tips

The PGA Tour are in Texas this week for the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, and all eyes will be on one Texan to see if he can win in his home state.

That man is Jordan Spieth, the Masters winner has finished runner-up twice this year when playing in the Lone Star State and will be desperate to be in third-time lucky this week.

Jordan Spieth is of course favourite for the event, and with many of the world’s best at Wentworth this week he does look head and shoulders above the rest of the field at the moment. His 11/2 price is one that I am just not willing to touch.

Defending champion is Adam Scott and you can get him at 22/1 this week… however his form has been hit and miss.

Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Betting Tips advised bets

Ryan Palmer £2.50 each way at 28/1 with Coral  The local lad is one of my favourite tips, as he has the ability to shoot low and has two Top 5 finishes here in the past.

Charley Hoffman £1 each way at 45/1 with Bet Victor Seems to enjoy playing in Texas with tied 11th placed finishes in his two starts there this season. Has made the cut in all six previous appearances at Colonial.

Sean O'Hair £1 each way at 50/1 with Betway Someone who just seems to be playing better and better and, finally after several season of being completely inconsistent, he is playing back to playing somewhere near his best. Has a couple of Top 20s here in the past.

Jim Herman £0.50 each way at 100/1 Not a man that many will be familiar with, but is playing really solid golf, with two top 10s already this season. Course should suit him, although this is his first appearance here.
