Golf internet TV channel, GolfBug.tv, officially launches its new weekly magazine programme, “The Back 9 Show”, tomorrow
Golf internet TV channel, GolfBug.tv, officially launches its new weekly magazine programme, The Back 9 Show , tomorrow (Wednesday, September 17) at 13:00 GMT on the eve of the eagerly-awaited 37th Ryder Cup which takes place from September 19 to 21 at the Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky, USA.
Each week The Back 9 Show will comprise a variety of segments that will tee off with a review of the golfing week followed by regular features such as Caddy Shack looking at new equipment and gadgets, top class instruction tips from renowned coaches and Hole Wide World which reviews golf courses around the globe.
This week s official launch show will focus on all things Ryder Cup. Special guest Geoff Swain, the current World Trick Shot Champion, will give expert comment on the trans-Atlantic battle whilst the programme will also include a personal preview from former Ryder Cup European Team captain Sam Torrance, an exclusive one-to-one interview with rookie Oliver Wilson, some memorable action from past Ryder Cups and a look at the specially-redesigned championship course at the Celtic Manor Resort, venue for the 38th Ryder Cup when the matches return to Europe in 2010.
The inauguration of The Back 9 Show coincides with a number of landmark deals recently negotiated by GolfBug. Leading sports website, Eurosport Yahoo, has agreed a unique content agreement with the channel supplying them exclusive material whilst The Back 9 Show will also appear regularly on the online versions of Ireland s national TV station RTE, The Independent and The Scotsman newspapers.
GolfBug has hit a major milestone with the launch of The Back 9 Show whilst contracts with these various media outlets give the show a potential global audience of around the two million mark, all of whom are directly, 100% interested in golf, commented Andrew Cooke, founder and managing director of GolfBug.
GolfBug has already experienced fantastic feedback from manufacturers, golf clubs and tourist boards who now recognise the channel as an important means of communication with their current customers and future clients.
One of the first pieces of programming that GolfBug has supplied to Eurosport Yahoo was an exclusive interview with the legendary Nick Faldo, the current captain of the European Ryder Cup Team, which was filmed in conjunction with TaylorMade during The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
