Tony Jacklin teams up with Lyle & Scott

Lyle & Scott and two-time major champion Tony Jacklin have joined forces to re-launch the fashion brand’s embroidery collection.

Lyle and Scott launched its first golf range in 1967 and the Golden Eagle logo has been a mainstay in the industry ever since.

Jacklin – who won the Open in 1969 and the US Open in 1970 – wore Lyle and Scott for a number of years during his professional career.

“I am honoured to have the opportunity to work with the heritage golf brand Lyle and Scott,” said Jacklin.

“I wore it a lot during my many years of success on the golf course. Everyone has their own memories of wearing Lyle & Scott – mine were achievement, performance and style to the highest level.

“This affinity with a brand is rare and something that I look forward re-igniting.”

The Englishman will be the figurehead of the re-launched global golf embroidery service.

All work is produced to the highest standards by Lyle & Scott at the brand’s embroidery division in Scotland.
