Improvements since 2010 Ranking:

Course: New bunkers have been added and a number have been tweaked to improve the visual appearance of holes from the tee and also cater for technology advancements. Some mature trees have also been planted in strategic places along with regeneration of heather and removal of gorse. The pond between the 8th and 9th holes has been increased sizeably – effectively the 9th is a new hole with new tees built and the green extended along the excavated pond. Two new ponds have been built to the right of the 10th hole and in front of the 11th tee; they cascade into Upper Bearwood Lake.

Panellists’ Comments: “A very well designed course, in excellent condition and making the most of the natural landscaping of the three lakes.” – “An excellent course which is being maintained to a high standard which all levels of handicap golfer will find enjoyable and at the same time challenging.” – “A finer course will be hard to find and you will leave here wanting to return again and again.”
