FootJoy Thermal Mid Layer
During the winter period, you may have noticed we’ve been out filming Golf Monthly videos in some pretty horrible conditions. No matter how cold it is outside, we still have to get out there and test all the latest products so by the time they go on sale, you’ve got a good idea as to how they perform.
Editor's Choice 2020
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to sat that we couldn’t have done it without the FootJoy Thermal mid layer. This top kept us so incredibly warm in sub zero temperatures, we’d be confident it would serve us well during a blizzard on Antarctica (but please don’t quote us on that!).
To touch the material is especially soft. It feels like there are lots and lots of thin layers packed tightly together and within the gaps air warmed by the body can help keep you warm. It truly is unlike any other mid layer we’ve tried and is testament to the research that FootJoy carry out into the latest materials and trends to ensure they are one of the leaders when it comes to performance golf apparel, just like they are in footwear.
The four-way stretch of the fabric ensures there is no restriction of movement throughout the swing while the Interlock knit liner has moisture wicking properties.

With the colour blocking, it looks the part too. It goes with lots of different trouser colours, and it is this versatility as well as the high level of performance, that has made it the first garment we call upon when heading out to play on a cold day. If you’re keen to play more golf in colder climates, be sure to invest in the FootJoy Thermal mid layer so you can enjoy the experience.
