Cleveland CG2
Golf Monthly Verdict

The CG2s produce a good piercing trajectory. Despite the mid-gauge topline, the thick hosels give the impression of a smaller head which doesn't inspire confidence, particularly in the longer irons. The compact head best suits lower handicappers as does the softer feel from the satin forged heads. The strike is consistent with a low ball flight. A solid contender.

Forged shallow cavity iron with satin finish constructed from a carbon/steel blend. Cleveland's Carbon Metal Matrix (CMM) head material promises a soft feel at impact and frees up 25-30g of head weight to generate a lower centre of gravity than is typical in this type of iron. This should aid long iron launch without sacrificing short iron control.
