Golf Monthly Verdict

Chervo golf clothing looks good and performs even better. While the styling may be more suited to younger or fashion-conscious golfers, there is no doubting the quality and classiness of the apparel.

Styling

The Italian styling is understated and subtle - it looks smart without really shouting the brand name or showing off. This is top quality, classy apparel which is probably aimed at people for whom fashion is as important as functionality.

Fit

As someone who is more of a Rocca than a Manassero, the word snug applies to all that I wore. This is a sporting AND fashion brand and as such the cut is probably best suited to someone who is less fond of beer. That said, the stretchy material helped limit any impairment of my swing.

Comfort

Despite my comments on fit, once on, all items of apparel (shirt, mid-layer and waterproofs) actually felt very comfortable with all the materials used soft to the touch. They layers worked well together, keeping me warm and dry without me perspiring excessively.

Performance

I was extremely impressed with the waterproofs, which coped superbly with the horizontal onslaught from the rain. The jacket performed as well as any waterproof I have used before and the material is surprisingly soft to the touch while still allowing the water to bead off. The shirt felt cool, and the mid-layer kept me warm in the wind.
