The Celtic Manor Resort has launched a new Country Membership for its Twenty Ten Club, which includes tickets to the Ryder Cup in 2010 as well as The Celtic Manor Wales Open later this year.
At the moment the majority of the club’s membership comes from Celtic Manor’s immediate surroundings in South Wales, but the new Country Membership offers an opportunity for those outside a 75-mile radius of the venue to join the 2010 Ryder Cup-hosting club .
The membership includes all of the same benefits as Full Membership but with a saving of £1,000 on both the joining fee and the annual subscription.
Country members will get full playing privileges on the Twenty Ten Course, the first in history to be purpose built for the Ryder Cup. They will also receive Ryder Cup tickets to the big match between Europe and America in 2010 as well as the opportunity to buy another one. Both tickets include hospitality places in a members’ pavilion. Members will also get two season tickets to The Celtic Manor Wales Open.
Before the Ryder Cup, Country members will have the chance to familiarise themselves with the course. With water hazards on half of its holes, some driveable par fours and reachable par fives, The Twenty Ten contains a host of risk and reward dilemmas which golfers will never tire of playing.
For new Country members, all this costs £2,000 joining fee, payable over two years interest-free, and £2,000 annual subscription.
Facilities at the five-star Celtic Manor Resort also include a luxury spa and children’s creche, as well as tennis courts, shooting, fishing, mountain biking and walking trails plus a choice of restaurants. Plus members can have their shoes and clubs cleaned all year round.

The total membership will be capped at 450 golfers and visitor tee times are strictly limited to protect members’ playing interests and retain the unique prestige of The Twenty Ten Club.
For those living within the 75-mile radius of Celtic Manor, opportunities to become a full member still exist. For more information visit celtic-manor.com or call the Membership team on 01633 410300.
