Bunkers lie at 250 yards from the tee, so the pros will hit a 2 or 3 iron, assuming wind is not too much of a factor. Club selection for the second shot is equally crucial, as wind can hugely affect high wedge shots.

Justin Rose says: The 10th hole is a really well bunkered short par 4. It s a hole where you hit a 2-iron or a 3-iron off the tee and chase it down the fairway and from there you have got probably an 8 or 9-iron into a green that s pretty small and slopes back to front. So, the one thing I might be thinking about is just keeping the ball below the hole and trying to give myself a realistic birdie opportunity.
Brian says: Players need to avoid the bunkers from the tee, which are a 250-yard carry, and then turn sharp left towards the green. The players will be only playing to the green from 120 or 130 yards, which is where they can generate a tremendous amount of spin, particularly into the breeze and with the ball on very tight fairways. The ball can also rise up and stall in the wind, so they need to make sure they take plenty of club and play the ball in gently.
