KING COBRA S9 5-SW £415 (s), £530 (g)
Design and Tech Benefits Polymer toplines allow weight to be shifted to more productive areas, assisting with launch and forgiveness. Wide soles, low profiles and undercut cavities help further on both fronts.
Specs R/H and L/H steel and graphite in regular or stiff flex. 3 and 4-iron plus GW and LW are also available.
GM VERDICT Eye-catching heads with big short-iron clubfaces. They delivered a high ball flight but with no apparent distance loss into the breeze. The longer irons proved very playable, though it took a while to get used to seeing so much cavity at address.
