Who Is Webb Simpson's Wife?

Webb first met his wife, Taylor Dowd, when the pair were at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Their first meeting is believed to be slightly unorthodox, while Webb was an incoming freshman, Dowd, at that time, was a sophomore.

It is believed that Webb's father, Sam, offered Dowd $100 to go on a date with his son. She supposedly responded with, "If he's as cute as you, I'll go for free."

The pair eventually met through a mutual friend and they started dating from that point, but ended their relationship when they finished college.

Dowd said; “Webb and I dated all through college at Wake Forest, then broke up for a year after college, which was a healthy thing for us. We didn’t even talk. Then we got back together, and five months later we were engaged, and five months later, we were married.”

After college, Dowd pursued an acting career in Los Angeles and Atlanta after graduating in theatre. We believe she has featured in a few independent films and short-lived TV shows.

Together, the couple have five children called Mercy, James, Willow, Wyndham and Eden Bee, with both Simpson and Dowd devout Christians who study the Bible regularly.

“That subject [religion] interested me most at the time. I’m a Christian, so I thought learning about other religions could only help me firm up my beliefs in Jesus,” said Webb, who studied religion/philosophy whilst at Wake Forest University.

Dowd has been seen regularly attending her husband's events, and was present for Webb's victories at the US Open, Players Championship, RSM Classic and Presidents Cup.
