Protracer ball flight tracking technology is now available at World of Golf

Protracer ball flight tracking technology is now available in 20 driving range bays at World of Golf in New Malden, South-West London
The World of Golf driving range in New Malden, South-West London, has exclusively installed new Protracer technology in 20 bays to offer golfer’s real-time feedback on their shots.
Protracer, as used by TV channels to help viewers track the flight path of golf shots, will be accessible in 10 bays upstairs and 10 bays downstairs, with the results viewable via new tablet devices in the bays.
These devices will calculate the distance of every club in the bag or you can play a points game so you can compete against friends.
Golfers can base results on where the ball lands (carry) or where it finishes, before being rated over a grouping of 12 shots. Once the 12 shots have been completed, the system offers golfers a performance summary, including an analysis of their five best strikes.
Each customer can then have their Protracer results emailed to them or their coach, while the best shots are displayed on a large screen in reception.
Grant Wright, CEO at World of Golf, says Protracer adds another dimension to London’s busiest driving range: “We’ve seen what a buzz Protracer has caused, everyone enjoyed playing the game and it allows golfers to compete against each other on the range in a fun competitive environment.

“We have ‘The Protracer Beat The Pro Challenge’ ongoing from today and there will also be daily, weekly and monthly prizes up for grabs. The new technology of Protracer will encourage golfers of all ability from beginners to seasoned pros to come down and try it,” he added.
The news of Protracer comes after World of Golf had the busiest Easter week on record with a third of a million balls hit over the holiday period, which followed on from the 14 million balls hit in 2014 .
