Saunders and Cowle on form at Gosport & Stokes Bay
Kevin Saunders and Steve Cowle enjoyed a lucrative pay day by when they shared victory in the Gosport & Stokes Bay Golf Club Pro-Am
Both Kevin Saunders and Steve Cowle shot three-under-par rounds of 67 at the panoramic seaside course to finish three shots ahead of Ben Cummings and David Porter.
Barton-on-Sea s Peter Rodgers and his team of Dan Brown, Simon Hoyle and Ben McKay won the pro-am with a fourteen-under-par score of 126. Richard Janes (West Sussex) and his team of Pete Southern, Dave Taylor and Dean Smith were second.
Nearest the Pin prizes were won by Martin Lawrence, Ben McKay, Simon Hoyle and Burt Mauchline.
The tournament was organised by the Club s Pro-Am Committee and raised funds for the Falklands Veterans Foundation. Companies who supported the event included Churchers Solicitors, The Coop, K W Lawrence Building Contractors, Build Base, The Vine, Portsmouth Football Club, BetaPrint, Sonic Clean, Green King, Fairway Credit & Fareham Van Hire.
