St Andrews hole-by-hole guide: Hole 18, Tom Morris
A detailed hole-by-hole guide to St Andrews Old Course, home of the 150th Open Championship. Get to know the course and find out where this year's Claret Jug may be won and lost this year

Hole 18, Tom Morris 357 yards Par 4
Another hole that can be driven if the wind is right, but for shots coming up short there will be a big decision to make for your second shot. The deep Valley of Sin at the front of the green can cause havoc and spoil some good scores so a par here is no bag thing. A chip-and-run will often be the sensible choice as opposed to a wedge where unwanted spin brings the Valley of Sin into play.
