This nine-holer plays over free-draining heathland just south of Worlington, eight miles north-east of Newmarket. Geographically, it lies in Suffolk, yet it's Cambridge University's home club. The relatively modest length of just over 3,100 yards should not be treated lightly, as it includes a 220-yard par 3 and two 460-yardplus par 4s. You'll be playing all three twice in an 18-hole round, so that's six big asks of your long game even before you factor in the trickiness of some of the shorter holes - most notably the devilish 7th and 16th.
Panellists' comments: "A great place to play for the sheer joy of playing"; "Excellent winter course"; "Lovely clubhouse that oozes charm."
