Last year’s CCi Forged were impressive, but for us this is the best set of clubs Nike have ever designed. When you look at the cavity from the back compared to the view at address, it is hard to believe it’s the same club. They are weighted beautifully and feel great off the face - perfect for anyone who loves a compact blade, but wants the reassurance of forgiveness when needed. It is clear that much of what Tiger liked about his old set has been transferred into the new model. The slightly thicker toe does make these appear a little less intimidating, but there is no doubting these beautiful blades have been designed to be used by only the best ball strikers. Where next? Why you can trust Golf Monthly
These have been designed for those who want a compact iron, but with more forgiveness. The Nike Victory Red Split Cavity irons have a slightly wider sole, thicker topline and more offset than the Victory Red TW Blades, but maintain the traditional look. The cavity is designed to provide a higher trajectory throughout the set with the same loft and lie as the blades.
Tiger Woods helped create a set that will replace the Nike blades he has used for over five years.
The centre of gravity has been positioned to Woods’ specs to provide added control and to aid shot shaping. The set has a slightly modified shape and thicker toe than the original Nike blade.
