Wilson Staff TW9 & TaylorMade xFT wedge
Golf Monthly takes a look at 15 of the wedges on the market, including the Wilson Staff TW9, Mizuno MP-T10, Snake Eyes 685BX and Cleveland CG15

Wilson Staff TW9 wedge, £75
Key technology: Lower-lofted options have a slightly larger cavity than higher lofts to give more control on full shots. Elastomeric coating on the back of the club provides a softer impact across the face.
The lower-lofted cavity wedges produced a controlled flight on full shots, but it is the higher-lofted blade designs that really impressed for their all-round shotmaking.
TaylorMade xFT wedge, £119
Key technology: The face of this wedge can be changed so that players can replace their grooves without having to replace their wedge. New faces are available as standard or conforming to the new tour rules.
We liked the classic address view and the distance control was very consistent. The rear bulge, where the screws are housed, can affect open-face shots slightly on tight lies.
