PING Wack-E-iN putter, £135
Key technology: Material has been removed from the centre and redistributed to the perimeter of this PING Wack-E-iN putter in order to improve stability.
The head shape follows in the footsteps of Ping's old Craz-E model. This club's impact sound is strange, but there's no denying that the technology used helps deliver excellent stability. The lightweight nano-nickel insert produces a very consistent roll. The impact sound is unusual and takes some getting used to.
Ben Sayers Benny ADB putter, £59.99
Key technology: An internal weight system in the rear of the Benny ADB putter helps keep the head balanced and encourages a true roll. The midsize arrow-headed mallet is designed and weighted to ensure that the head stays stable at impact.
This putter should suit golfers who are looking for a centre-shafted mallet, want a stable design at a value price and would like to improve alignment. The combination of a bullet-shaped head and markings make this a very easy putter to line up. A good mid-price option for anyone looking for some added stability in the stroke.
