TaylorMade Rescue Dual
The Rescue specialists unveil their latest offering
TaylorMade Rescue Dual £129(s), £139(g) (plus wrench tool)
Design and Tech Benefits Two-tone grey head with two interchangeable rear weight cartridges. The 2g and 14g cartridges can be moved to alter the centre of gravity and promote either a neutral or draw biased flight. The weight ports are far enough apart to increase twist resistance by up to 20% over the last Rescue Mid model. This delivers greater stability and forgiveness.
Specs Lofts available: 16, 19, 22 and 25 degrees.
GM VERDICT TaylorMade have long had an outstanding reputation in the Rescue club market and the original Rescue Mid was a superb club. The Rescue Dual produces an attractive ball flight and reasonable distance from a variety of lies. The weight ports can tend to snag in tangly rough on takeaway which is slightly disconcerting. The Rescue Dual is as easy to hit as the Mid and as effective from tough lies. It doesn?t, however, appear to be a massive improvement.
