Improving your putting stats is the easiest way to save shots and improve scoring in golf. With some 30-40% of the shots you hit each round being putts, optimising performance on the greens is crucial to producing your best possible results.

Finding the right putter is, of course, an important factor in maximising your putting efficiency but so too is finding the right grip. The grip is your contact point with the club and the correct grip to suit your requirements can greatly enhance your feel and consistency on the greens.

That’s what P2 Grips want to deliver to golfers of all abilities. They offer a range of putter grips to suit different players that have been designed to give more predictable putter face control and improved stroke consistency.

P2 was established in 2005 with the aim of helping club golfers improve their performance on the greens. Over 20 years later the company offers a full family of performance grips, designed using detailed analytics and biomechanical scientific research.

The company stresses their grips are not “Tour Inspired.” The grips have been created to benefit the average player. They say they want to help “weekend warriors,” those without a putting coach and hours per day to practice, to improve and find more consistency.

The P2 Concept

Since their inception, P2 has pioneered the patented ‘Face-Square Technology.’ It inspires confidence by optimising wrist position and limiting mobility during the putting stroke.

Through limiting excessive wrist movement, P2 Grips promote more predictable putter face control and improved stroke consistency.

The idea is that golfers experience the added stability not as restriction, but as a stroke that feels easier to repeat, along with a more natural tempo and improved feel on the greens. It works!

“Control your hands… control your putter face.”

We’re all different as golfers and putting is highly personal. As such, each P2 grip shape offers a different feel and profile preference, while delivering the same underlying biomechanical performance benefit.

P2 Grips feature a high-traction, tacky outer layer and firm rubber core to deliver comfort and valuable feedback in all weather conditions. The feel certainly inspires confidence.

Leading sports analytics company Quintic Sports conducted an independent test and found that P2 Grips reduced twisting of the putter face at impact.

Using high-speed motion capture and ball-roll data, testing showed a measurable improvement in putting performance, with some participants demonstrating improvements of up to 70% in specific testing metrics. Who wouldn’t want to improve their putting by 70%?!

Extensive Range

P2 began its journey producing a single grip, one shape and one colour. The simple vision was to help the average golfer find consistency. It worked and the idea blossomed. Now P2 offers a family of grips in multiple colours to suit players with varying stroke techniques and feel preferences.

Each model in the family is designed with the P2 philosophy of “control your hands… control your putter face.”

The putter head does not move back/ forward/ up/down/ open/ closed without the influence of your hands and the P2 designs offer different widths, tapers and finishes to help you get the palms positioned square to one another and thus, keep the putter face square through the stroke.

There’s a great range to choose from and there will be one that suits your eye and your grip style.

New Models

For this year, P2 has introduced three new models: the midsize Vibe Tour, extended-length Vibe Max and Touch Pro+ pistol shape.

Vibe Tour is a round profile grip with a flat front and non-taper design promoting even pressure distribution and improved face awareness through the stroke. The Vibe Max is a longer, 14” version of the Vibe Tour giving more options in terms of stance and posture while putting.

The Touch Pro+ combines a larger pistol-style profile with proven P2 technology to provide a secure, stable feel in the hands while a textured outer layer enhances comfort compared with a traditional pistol grip.

For this combination of features, the Touch Pro+ has been selected for Golf Monthly’s 2026 Editor’s Choice.

P2 Grips will help you generate a stroke that feels easier to repeat, along with a more natural tempo and improved feel on the greens.
