Name the course: Carnoustie
The "Guess the course" competition was well contested with the majority of you being correct with Carnoustie
The “Guess the course” competition was well contested. The answer was Carnoustie, scene of Padraig Harrington’s first Major triumph back in July 2007. Three winners were selected at random and will receive a pair of instruction DVDs featuring advice from Golf Monthly’s Top 25 coaches.
Each week there will be a prize on offer for naming the correct course from a selection of photographs. The Golf Monthly team couldn’t resist having a stab at the answer. There are some knowledgeable types in the office and certain members of the team are well travelled when it comes to golf courses, thus making the internal quiz somewhat of an anticlimax. If anything, the Quiz Master was given some grief for last week’s selection, “too easy” being the general remark.
So, this Thursday will be more difficult. Fancy yourself as a bit of a course boffin, why not have a go?! If you get stuck, you may find the answer in our Top 100 Golf Courses section. Feel free to leave any of your comments and course reviews, as we’re happy to hear from you. Keep your eye on the website this coming Thursday. Good luck!
