Wending its way through the mainly low dunes of the Pormarnock peninsula, this is not one of those Irish links that flies off the visual appeal scale. What it perhaps is though is Ireland's highly regarded equivalent to Muirfield - a fair, yet demanding links with no hidden extras. The signature par-3 15th provides a rare shoreside visit.
