The Old Course is one of the UK's best-loved inland layouts. A Willie Park Jr design tweaked by Harry Colt, it's set over a majestic swathe of heathland with holes sweeping past pines, heather and gorse to sprawling, sloping greens. Lurking among a strong cast of par 4s are three short ones - the 3rd, 9th and 11th that might just tempt you some days.
