Ferrie wins his US PGA Tour card

England’s Kennie Ferrie produced a blistering final round at Q-School, moving up 17 places to secure his playing rights for the 2008 PGA Tour.

Kennie Ferrie emerged from the marathon six-round PGA Tour National Qualifying tournament to earn his card for the 2008 season. The Geordie performed well all week at the Panther Course in Florida but it was a blistering final round that took him into the all-important qualifying places.

Ferrie started the final day in 31st place, just on the wrong side of ?the cut?, but a brave 67, including eight birdies, sent him rocketing up the leaderboard into joint 14th, on 16-under-par.
