Taylormade TP Red and TP Black
Taylormade TP Red and TP Black
Design and Tech Benefits Both feature low compression cores, and mid-layers designed to genrate tour launch conditions. The TP Red has a larger core and thinner mid-layer which should translate into slightly higher spin rates and a lower launch angle on all full shots, together with a slightly softer impact feel.
Specs Both three-piece. 332-dimple urethane covers.
GM VERDICT Hard to say whether or not the TP Red really delivered the promised lower flight on full shots-something we wouldn't particularly want. But it got our vote over the TP Black simply because it feels so soft around the greens where our score is often made or saved.
