Foresight Sports introduced its first launch monitor in 2010 with the GC2 and it then became the best-selling launch monitor ever created. In 2017 the four-camera GCQuad was launched and that would become the gold standard for the Tour players, coaches, retailers and fitters.

Fast forward to 2026 and Foresight Sports has taken another huge step forward with a new ecosystem that brings together the best hardware, software and mobile access.

Foresight+ is the new subscription platform for all Foresight software (it replaces the previous FSX Play and Pro licences, though prior ones remain available) and features a tiered annual subscription that unlocks features across Foresight Premier, the revamped PC software platform, and the Foresight app.

Foresight’s hardware offering and the ability to capture data has always excelled and now the software side matches that with, what Foresight Premier claim as the ‘most robust platform in the industry for simulation and performance analysis’.

This updated PC-based simulation boasts immersive course play and a new training ground. Along with the company’s renowned and advanced data, you are able to customise the way you see your shots as well as fun and competitive ways to hit them.

Now you can practise like the pros and dial into every aspect of your game. If your wedges are a weakness, you can easily track why by looking at how your swinging the club, your dispersion tendencies and easy-to-follow drills are at hand to maintain your interest and guarantee more confidence.

One example is the ability to set up a green for a certain club and the really cool Bullseye target where you can divide the green into quarters and, if you want to eliminate a short right miss, then you can simply remove that quadrant. It’s as relatable to what goes on at your home course as anything that you could wish to work on.

There is an obvious emphasis on game improvement and a detailed understanding of how and where you hit the ball but there is an equal weighting to genuinely enjoying your practice as well as just having a lot of fun with it. With the darker months fast approaching this is a very advanced world away from your previous winter regime and you will be far more inclined to hit a lot of balls and maintain your interest at a time of year when the clubs had previously been put away.

Another huge tick in the Foresight box is the new GC2 launch monitor which is positioned at a more accessible entry point into the wider Foresight experience.

This takes the DNA of Foresight’s ultra-premium units and packages it into a more affordable device with the same renowned reliability.

It uses dual-speed cameras to physically capture the impact so you can trust every number that comes back at you and the GC2 delivers all the core ball metrics of launch angle, ball speed, launch direction and your carry distance. It also dives deep into your spin numbers and tilt axis data directly from the strike.

Furthermore, you don’t need to connect to another device as it features a built-in screen and it works just as well outdoors. It’s smart, compact and lightweight at just under 2kg.

The Foresight app is the final piece in the impressive jigsaw with the viewing options going up several notches. Here you can pair the GC2, or any Foresight Sports launch monitor like the GC3 or QuadMAX, to your app and then customise the tiles to how you want to look at the numbers.

Even if you are hitting into a net, you can see your shots flying virtually on the range. There is also the new ‘Off the Tee’ drill, which allows golfers access to play every course worldwide in 2D.

The final bonus is that the GC2 comes with a 12-month free Foresight+ Silver with Course Pass, which allows you to take advantage of some premium software features, more courses and further routes to improving your game.

One membership gives you access and features across both Premier and the app and the membership is tied to your user account and not individual devices so, if you have more than one, it won't be a problem.

The Silver is geared towards the casual golfer who is looking to improve their game in the most tailored, insightful and also fun way while the Gold is aimed at professionals or coaches – or just anyone who is serious about improving their game.

With both the Silver and Gold you then get access to the Course Pass which gives you 37 full courses or the Course Pass Pro which allows you access to the full library and rounds at places like Pebble Beach, Royal Troon and Bethpage Black.

Previously Foresight’s world-leading technology had only been something that you might be able to take advantage in at a lesson or something that you saw online but the GC2 has opened up this exciting world to a far wider audience.

This is something that those of us who are considering buying our first launch monitor can now genuinely consider and the timing, along with the new and incredible software ecosystem and membership offerings, couldn’t be better for those wanting to start their indoor golf journey.
