The United States comfortably secured the Curtis Cup over Great Britain and Ireland at the Essex County Club, Massachusetts.
The American amateurs only needed two out of eight points in the Sunday singles to retain the cup and claimed victory with a points score of 12.5 - 7.5.
US captain Noreen Mohler confirmed the pride her team took in the victory, with strong gameplay epitomised by Jessica Korda, who recorded four birdies and an eagle, on her way to defeating the Scottish player Pamela Pretswell.
The strong play displayed by the US amateurs, coupled with the previous wins of all foursome and six fourball matches on Saturday, lead to their defeat over Great Britain and Ireland to take the Curtis Cup.
Although the US amateurs secured victory, Northern Ireland's Danielle McVeigh defeated Jennifer Song by 3&2 in the singles, a highlight from a player who is expected to soon turn professional.
Irish twins, Lisa and Leona Maguire played strongly throughout the weekend, with Leona defeating Tiffany Lua by 2&1 and Lisa securing a one-hole victory over Kimberly Kim.
Alexis Thompson beat Sally Watson 6&5, building an early lead for the Americans in the singles matches.
