Hole19, one of the world's leading golf GPS and performance apps, today has announced its most ambitious product update to date.

With a new subscription tier, new performance tools, and new game modes, Hole19 is redefining what a golf app can do - giving every golfer, from weekend warrior to scratch player, the tools to truly understand and improve their game.

Play Smarter. Shoot Lower with Hole19 Intelligence

At the heart of this exciting launch is the Hole19 Intelligence Plan, a new subscription tier built for golfers who want more than just a scorecard.

Intelligence Plan members unlock a full suite of performance tools that transform raw round data into clear, actionable insight:

  • Auto Shot Detection: Hole19 automatically identifies where shots land, which club was used, and the lie. Golfers simply tap once to confirm or edit - and can do it after the hole or even after the round, completely eliminating the in-round hassle of shot-by-shot logging.
  • Strokes Gained Analysis: In-depth performance insights made simple. Understand exactly where shots are being won and lost against the field without complicated data input.
  • Unlimited Otto AI Round Reports: After every round, Hole19's AI companion 'Otto' delivers a personalised report identifying strengths, weaknesses, and where to focus next.
  • Handicap Benchmark Comparison: See how your game stacks up against golfers at the same handicap level.
  • New Performance Section: A beautifully designed hub with visual trend charts covering handicap and scoring evolution, game area breakdowns, strokes gained over time, and club stats with dispersion maps.
  • Free Lifetime CORE Golf Subscription (iOS only): Every Intelligence Plan member receives a lifetime subscription to CORE Golf, the practice app that helps golfers structure their sessions and make practice directly translatable to the course through gamified, target-focused drills.

Shot Tracking - Now Seamless on the Course

Hole19 now makes shot tracking easier than ever.

With Shot Tracking on Apple Watch, golfers can log shots directly from their wrist. When they reach the ball, Hole19 detects the lie and club - one tap confirms the shot.

Combined with Auto Shot Detection (available on the Intelligence Plan) and phone-based tracking, golfers can now choose the method that best fits their pace and playing style.

The result: better data, with less interruption.

A Clearer View of Your Game

The redesigned Performance Section removes complexity and surfaces what matters most.

Golfers can instantly see handicap trends, scoring evolution, game area breakdown, where strokes are gained or lost, and club performance and shot dispersion.

Instead of overwhelming data, golfers get clarity and direction.

More Ways to Play With Friends

Hole19 now supports the formats golfers actually play. New game modes available to all users include Better Ball, Alternate Shot and Scramble.

So whether it's a weekend fourball or club competition, golfers can now track their rounds the way they play them.

Premium Tools Also Received Some Love

Existing Premium features, like the Shot Tracker, have also been upgraded and are now even more intuitive to use.

The Intelligence Plan builds on Premium, adding a new layer of analytical depth for golfers ready to take their game seriously.

"We built Hole19 because we believe every golfer deserves access to the kind of data and insight that used to be reserved for tour professionals," Anthony Douglas, CEO, Hole19, said.

"This spring update is the biggest step we've ever taken toward that vision. Auto Shot Detection alone changes how people experience a round, and when you combine it with Otto's AI analysis and the new Performance Section, golfers finally have a complete picture of their game.

"We can't wait to see the improvements our community makes this season."

This Spring update is already being rolled out globally on iOS and Android phones and watches. Current Hole19 users will receive the update automatically through their app stores. Feature availability may vary by region and device.
