DESIGN

The GM testers were impressed by the attractive, compact appearance of this fairway wood. It has the classic old Ping design that has always proved popular.

TECH TALK

Internal weighting has been engineered to maximise forgiveness on off-centre strikes. This is essential if you are looking to hit accurate fairway shots from distance.

GM VERDICT

The clubhead is slightly heavier than others in the same class but it gives the feeling it's effortlessly hunting out the bottom of the ball. It's another useful option from the tee. Ping has successfully designed a club to attract all standards of golfer but the high price tag might prove to be a bit of a stumbling block. If you are a serious golfer and will get good use from these they benefit your game.
