Here at Golf Monthly we test a lot of golf shoes in all shapes, sizes and styles. When it comes to bold designs and vibrant colorways, however, one brand always stands out above the rest. Made from premium quality Italian Nappa Leather and featuring some of the most striking aesthetics out there, Duca del Cosma shoes are unique and unmistakeable.

Quite simply, there is nothing else on the market quite like them and a pair of Duca del Cosma shoes will always turn heads on the golf course. There’s much more to Duca del Cosma golf shoes than just extravagant looks though. The brand have left no stone unturned in their quest to add performance technology to their eye catching aesthetics, and their award winning DAVANTI shoe strikes an ideal balance between looks and performance.

The lightweight DAVANTI shoe is a bold design that certainly won’t appeal to everybody, but if you are a golfer who isn’t afraid to stand out from the crowd and likes to make a fashion statement out on the course, this modern design spikeless golf shoe should be right in your wheelhouse.

Duca del Cosma continue to work on ways to improve performance and comfort and the DAVANTI is one of their most technologically advanced shoes to date. The big tech story for Duca’s 2024 line up is the Airplay 15 outsole, featuring an advanced dual-component build which is comprised of a high shock absorption CMEVA (Compressed Moulded EVA) midsole for added flexibility and comfort.

An offset medial toe bumper protects the material on the upper from wear and tear during the downswing, while traction nubs on the durable outsole unit deliver optimal performance and uncompromising grip during the golf swing. A strategically positioned heel-strike to the rear of the outsole improves the walking gait and promotes a solid stride. Both heel and toe-cap are made from recyclable materials so these shoes not only look great but they are environmentally friendly.

The DAVANTI shoe is handcrafted from a blend of plain and tumbled Nappa leather and durable onDura® Nilo nylon. There are three striking color combinations to choose from and these are ideal shoes for summer golf or for golfers who enjoy good weather all year round. You would not want to wear them when the course is muddy as it would be a crime to get these lovely, vibrant looking shoes caked in mud!

They are suitable for playing in wet conditions though as they are fully waterproof thanks to an internal bootie system with OnSteam recyclable microfibre technology. A breathable membrane keeps water out while also ensuring your feet don’t sweat too much. The breathable Areneflex memory foam insert sole is also manufactured using recycled materials and delivers unrivalled all-day comfort.

Additionally, you can have confidence when you swing thanks to the three different types of strategically placed rubber nubs on the sole, which provide excellent traction, stability and control in the wet.

Available in Light Blue, Marina and Green/Grey, the DAVANTI is a versatile shoe that can just as easily be worn away from the course too as a stylish summer sneaker and they are one of our favourite sneaker type golf shoes of 2024.

David Usher

Dave is a distinctly average golfer with (fading) aspirations to be so much more than that. An avid collector of vintage Ping putters and the world's biggest Payne Stewart fan, in 2021 Dave turned his front garden into a giant putting green to work on the weakest area of his game. Progress has been slow but steady! In addition to his work reviewing golf gear and writing features for Golf Monthly and T3, Dave is the founder of the Bang Average Golf website

Dave’s lowest round is a one over par 73 around Kirkby Valley Golf Club in 2018, which included a bogey on the 18th to ruin the one and only chance he’ll ever have of shooting an even par or better score.  That errant tee shot on 18 does not still haunt him to this day though, in fact he hardly ever thinks about it.  No, honestly, he doesn’t. Not at all. Never.

Dave splits most of his golf between Hurlston Hall Golf Club in Ormskirk, Lancs, and Berrington Hall Golf Club in St Helens and has a handicap that fluctuates between 9 and 12, largely depending on how poor his putting is.
