Precision Engineering, Premium Performance – Bettinardi Golf
With more than a quarter of a century of experience, family-owned Bettinardi Golf delivers tour-inspired design, premium precision and performance.
Putting is an art form. It’s a game within the game of golf. The best putters are masters of their craft. They combine feel with precision to produce exceptional results on the greens.
This is something Bettinardi has at the forefront of their manufacturing methodology. Using artistry and precision in design and manufacture, they too are masters of their craft, creating putters, plus wedges and irons that enable golfers to focus on feel and judgement to deliver optimal performance on the golf course.
With a heritage stretching back more than quarter of a century, the family-owned, Chicago-based company has blended the talent of founder Robert J. Bettinardi with state-of-the-art machining processes to produce precision milled putters trusted by the best in the world.
“It’s truly a family business.”
Bettinardi Golf Founder Bob Bettinardi and his son, Bettinardi Golf President Sam Bettinardi
With Bob now working in tandem with his son Sam, who is president of the company, Bettinardi Golf is truly a family business.
When you buy a Bettinardi putter, it comes directly from Bettinardi’s Headquarters in Tinley Park, IL, USA, Bettinardi's family-owned facility based in Chicago. Every putter is milled there in-house from start to finish, a rare thing in golf today, and something Bettinardi is proud of.
With more than 100 Tour wins under their belt, Bettinardi has become a globally respected brand with ambassadors including major champions, Matt Fitzpatrick, Sir Nick Faldo, Fred Couples and Francesco Molinari.
Matt Fitzpatrick signed with Bettinardi in 2020
Matt Fitzpatrick is renowned as one of the best putters in the world and the Englishman has enjoyed considerable success with Bettinardi. Using a Bettinardi putter, Fitzy has won the 2022 US Open, the 2025 DP World Tour Championship and three PGA Tour events in 2026.
Fitzpatrick's putters are now available in the BB Series, the BB1 Fitz Flow blade and the BB48-F mallet.
Francesco Molinari won the 2018 Open Championship using Bettinardi’s BB0 putter and he now uses the Antidote SB1.
Fred Couples has won with Bettinardi on the Champions Tour and Sir Nick Faldo is a proud ambassador for the brand, currently using the SB5 mid-mallet style putter.
Beyond the major winners, Matt Kuchar has been a long-time Bettinardi player with multiple Tour wins, and helped popularise the armlock style, something Bettinardi has carried in its line for years.
A Great Pedigree
The Bettinardi factory - where it all happens!
Robert J. (Bob) Bettinardi’s journey in golf club manufacturing began in 1991 when he saw an advertisement in a golf shop that displayed putters being made on a Bridgeport milling machine.
At the time, Bettinardi owned a manufacturing facility with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines that did work for hydraulic companies and the communications industries. Robert was able to work for another golf manufacturer, creating putters for about three years. It was then that Bettinardi created the first ever one-piece milled putter out of a solid block of steel.
That one-piece milling method remains a key feature of the Bettinardi production ethos.
The use of one-piece milled putters increased through the 1990s and Bettinardi’s skill and knowledge was in high demand. He was employed by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and their putter creations led to four major wins and 49 PGA Tour titles.
In 1998, Bob branched off from OEM to begin milling putters on his own. Bettinardi Golf was formed.
Bettinardi developed a superior face milling method, using a special jeweller-grade machine cutter that precisely machined the face of the putter at a perfect perpendicular angle.
This unique process resulted in a 200% flatter face and eliminated the concave effect found on other manufacturers' putters. This was how Bettinardi’s renowned Honeycomb milling was born. The putters garnered attention from some of the best players in the game and the tournament wins began flowing.
Jesper Parnevik secured the first of them. The Swede took the 1999 Greater Greensboro Open with a then PGA Tour record of just 99 putts over four rounds. He used a Bettinardi putter to do it.
Craftsmanship and precision
An extensive selection of putters is available from Bettinardi Golf
For more than 25 years, Bettinardi has been innovating and refining their products. Their reputation for superior craftsmanship and precision has been firmly established, and they have expanded their ranges to cater for players with differing techniques and requirements.
“A perfect fusion of elegance, control and performance.”
When it comes to putters, there are three production lines – Antidote, BB and Queen B Series.
Engineered with Simply Balanced Technology, the Antidote series ensures a torque-free stroke.
The putters feature F.I.T. (Feel Impact Technology) Face milling. Using 303 stainless steel, the technique removes 55% of the face material, resulting in a soft, responsive feel.
Showcasing traditional, tour-validated head shapes and one-piece milled from a solid block of 303 stainless steel, the BB series of putters feature clean sightlines, softened edges, and ideal proportions. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing but they also offer exceptional feel and control.
Since the Queen B Series' initial inception, its aesthetic charm, superior performance, and heavier head weights have won the loyalty of golfers around the globe.
The “Mini Honeycomb” face milling provides the player with optimised feedback on every putt.
The beautiful Bettinardi HLX 6.0 wedges
Although best known for their flat sticks, Bettinardi has also taken their expertise in designing and crafting industry-leading milled putters and applied it to wedges and irons; clubs delivering unparalleled feel and control. The company offers premium quality throughout their range.
The HLX 6.0 wedges, available in chrome and graphite, with a limited Molten Copper PVD run currently available, are engineered for superior turf interaction, to maximise spin and reduce launch for unparalleled control and precision.
When it comes to irons, Bettinardi’s one-piece co-forging Technology delivers irons with a solid body offering exceptional feel and responsive feedback.
Cavity back and muscle back options are available in a range of finishes including bronze and black PVD.
Bettinardi also offers a comprehensive range of accessories including headcovers, grips, towels, gloves and umbrellas.
The brand has a formidable pedigree forged over quarter of a century. It’s a family-owned heritage-inspired business but it’s working with the cutting-edge of golf equipment technology to deliver constant innovation and clubs providing ever improving feel and feedback, and continued success at an elite level.
