Which Of Nikon's Technology Packed Rangefinders Is Best For You?
Take a look at Nikon's new COOLSHOT PRO III Stabilized and COOLSHOT 50i GII laser rangefinders

If you're looking for a golf laser rangefinder in 2025, look no further than Nikon's new COOLSHOT PRO III Stabilized and COOLSHOT 50i GII.
Both models come packed with a number of impressive technologies to help you play your best golf with features designed to make your round easier.
The COOLSHOT PRO III Stabilized, which is the official rangefinder of the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour, has some innovative technologies that ensure speed and accuracy among other helpful inclusions.
The COOLSHOT 50i GII has plenty of great features, too, including a built-in powerful mounting magnet to make it the perfect laser for cart-riding golfers.
Both deliver accurate yardages to the pin along with slope-adjusted numbers and ergonomic, weatherproof designs.
So, which of these two Nikon rangefinders should you choose? Take a look at each...
COOLSHOT PRO III STABILIZED
The cutting-edge COOLSHOT PRO III STABILIZED is Nikon's fastest, most accurate golf laser rangefinder yet, and it's also the laser used by the pros - as it is the official rangefinder of the LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour (LET).
This premium device, made for serious golfers, features some impressive innovations including Nikon's new HYPER READ technology, which provides accurate yardages in just 0.1 seconds regardless of distance! This handy feature can shave minutes off your round as well as strokes off of your score.
As well as being super quick, the PRO III STABILIZED is also incredibly stable - hence the name. It is built with Nikon's unique and powerful stabilization system, which counters both hand shake and wind to steady your view and ensure you can lock on to your target easier.
The helpful DUAL LOCKED ON QUAKE technology gives a visual cue plus a gentle vibration to confirm when it’s accurately measured the distance to the flagstick as opposed to trees or other objects behind your target.
It comes with four measurements to help you gain a true understanding of what shot you're facing, with ID (incline/decline) technology giving both slope-adjusted distance and actual distance. Press the mode button to switch to Actual Distance Mode, Actual Distance and Height Mode, or Horizontal Distance and Height Mode.
Slope compensation must be off for competitive play and the Actual Distance Indicator (ADI) LED blinks green to signal compliance so both you and your competitors know that you're playing by the rules. A handy feature to help you avoid getting caught out by mistake.
A crisp OLED display features bright red numbers and letters that are easy to read, plus the brightness adjusts automatically to account for ambient light levels. The multilayered 6x monocular lens offers a crystal-clear view, and the adjustable dioptre ensures tack-sharp focus.
Another handy feature allows you to hold the power button for up to 8 seconds to gauge the distance of trees, penalty areas, bunkers and anything else all in one simple movement.
The high quality build also ensures the PRO III STABILIZED is waterproof and fog-proof to withstand whatever conditions you're playing in.
The device weighs just 205g and the grooved rubber grip allows for a steady hold. Long eye relief also means you won’t need to remove your glasses or sunglasses while using it.
COOLSHOT 50i GII
The COOLSHOT 50i GII is the perfect laser for recreational golfers thanks to plenty of handy features designed to help you play better golf.
This compact rangefinder incorporates a number of the same technologies as the premium COOLSHOT PRO III STABILIZED, including slope-adjusted distances from Nikon's ID technology, the DUAL LOCKED ON QUAKE technology to give feedback once you've picked up your target as well as the one-sweep 8-second press and hold feature for when you're looking to pick up multiple distances in one go.
It also comes with the Actual Distance Indicator (ADI) LED that blinks green to signal compliance when playing in competitions that don't allow the use of Slope-adjusted yardages.
A standout feature on the COOLSHOT 50i GII is the powerful mounting magnet built into the side of the device. It allows you to safely attach it to metal surfaces like the frame of your golf cart for ease of use.
The device also comes with an OLED display with bright red numbers and letters for easy reading, while brightness can be adjusted.
A powerful multilayer-coated 6x monocular lens is fitted for a crystal-clear view, and the adjustable dioptre means you can fine-tune the focus to suit your vision.
It's also rainproof to ensure bad weather won't leave you without yardages, and the long eye relief means you don't have to take off your glasses or sunglasses while using the device.
A grooved rubber grip makes for a nice and comfortable hold.
