Srixon HR-X 333 - £40 per dozen
TECH TALK
The soft Rabalon HR cover has been specifically designed to remain durable but feel soft at impact offering good players impressive feel and control as they hit shots to the green. It also features a new, aerodynamically superior 333 dimple pattern that provides a low speed lift and shallower angle of decent ? basically, the ball stays in the air longer and rolls further. Add this to the EGC Core and elastic rubber mid layer and the result is increased speed off the tee for extra distance.
GM VERDICT
We found it competed well against its rivals but at £40 per dozen you?d certainly hope so. This is a tough ball that flies long and stops quickly, Srixon have convinced the likes of Miguel Angel Jimenez, Robert Allenby and Alex Cejka to ply their trade on Tour using the HR-X and those guys wouldn?t settle for second rate ammo.
