TaylorMade is unveiling its new Monza Spider Vicino putter which will be available from March 25, 2010, following the success of the Rossa Monza Spider line.

Monza Spider Vicino means "near" or "next" in Italian, because this is TaylorMade's next generation in the family. TaylorMade has taken the original Monza Spider and created a cleaner, more streamlined head.

The 'ports' have been shifted inwards without losing significant MOI by employing a lighter material for the central core of the putter head and a heavier material for the wings themselves. A lightweight polymer core has also allowed TaylorMade to put more weight into the perimeter.

The changes have allowed the weight ports closer together while also creating high MOI and greater stability on off-centre hits at the same time.

Shape-wise, the busy-looking black and white "basketball court" alignment aid on the Monza Spider has been replaced by a thin, silver-coloured layer of steel. The steel crown layer also features a single black line to aid in alignment.

Like previous Monza Spiders, the Monza Spider Vicino putter features TaylorMade's Movable Weight Technology (MWT). The Vicino comes equipped with two 4-gram weights, and heavier or lighter weights can be purchased separately to customise the feel by increasing or decreasing the head weight.
