TaylorMade has announced that four-time PGA tournament winner Rory Sabbatini has joined the company's PGA Tour Staff meaning the South African will now play TaylorMade equipment and wear TaylorMade headwear.

Sabbatini, who finished in a tie for 20th at the US Masters, played a set of TaylorMade Tour Preferred irons, a TaylorMade Burner driver, an R9 3-wood and 56° and 60° rac wedges at the WGC-CA Championship. The following week at the Transitions Championship, Sabbatini switched to the new R9 driver.

"TaylorMade's clubs are fantastic and this was a very opportune time for me to switch into their equipment," said Sabbatini.

“I recently put the new R9 driver into the bag and have been amazed at the results. The launch monitors have also shown an increased performance with the Tour Preferred irons.”

The South African attended the University of Arizona and turned professional in 1998. He joined the PGA Tour in 1999 and posted his first victory at the Air Canada Championship in 2000.

Since then he has claimed PGA Tour victories at the FBR Capital Open, Nissan Open and the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Sabbatini has been ranked as low as number eight in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Sabbatini joins an impressive list of players on TaylorMade's Tour staff including Sergio Garcia, Kenny Perry, Justin Rose and Sean O'Hair.
