Mizuno is set to launch the MX-700 Series, including the MX-700 driver, MX-700 fairway woods and MX-700 hybrid

Mizuno has launched the MX-700 Series, a wood line up designed to appeal to a wide range of players with high levels of forgiveness and impressive ball speeds. The new 'Hot Metal' line up includes the MX-700 driver, MX-700 fairway woods and MX-700 hybrid. The MX-700 driver is a step on from the MX-560. Penetrating ball flight and extreme MOI stability has been retained, but sharper looks have been added. Greater still, the addition of a Ti9 insert, which possesses an aligned grain structure, enables greater distances and a more penetrating ball flight.

Meanwhile, the MX-700 fairway woods feature a new ES230 steel face, with the same distance concept applied to these clubs as the driver. David Llewellyn, R&D Manager said: “The 700’s feel really lively at impact and I think amateurs are going to love this advancement just as much as the pros.

“The fairway wood and hybrid have been a little neglected on the distance front while we all pushed the boundaries with our Drivers – the MX-700’s have accelerated their evolution right up to date.”

The MX-700 driver will be available in 9.5, 10.5 and 12-degree for right-handers, and 9.5 and 10.5 for left-handers.
